‘Remarkable day’: PM Modi after India crosses 150 crore COVID vaccine dose mark

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday lauded the people after India crossed the 150 crore milestone of immunization of Kovid. He also said that India is grateful to all those who are working to make the vaccination campaign a success.

“A remarkable day on the immunization front! Congratulations to our countrymen on crossing the 150 crore milestone. Our immunization drive has ensured that many lives are saved. At the same time, we are also following all the COVID-19 related protocols.” Keep following,” the Prime Minister said in a series of tweets.

“India is grateful to all who are working to make our vaccination campaign a success. We thank our doctors, scientists, innovators and health care workers who are vaccinating people. I would like to take my shots from all of them.” Together, let’s fight COVID-19,” he said in another tweet.

In a historic achievement, India’s vaccination coverage crossed 150 crores on Friday, the Union Health Ministry said. The ministry said more than 81 lakh vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm today and the daily vaccination numbers are expected to increase with the compilation of the final report for the day by late tonight.

Congratulating the nation, the Prime Minister said that the country started the year with vaccination of 15 to 18 year olds and achieved this feat in the first week of the first month of the year. Historical milestone of 150 crores – 1.5 billion vaccine doses.
