Yes, the first electric fire truck for the North American continent is being built by REV Group, which has received an order to build an all-electric E-One vector fire truck model for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department in Arizona. It will be the first electric fire truck of its kind in North America.
REV is a collection of design and manufacturing entities producing and distributing over 28,000 vehicles in the world. It is not actually their first emergency vehicle, but it has also created the first electric ambulance. This fire truck is not the first electrified model, but the first fully electric fire truck since there has also been a plugin hybrid electric fire truck in Los Angeles.
Custom Electric Fire Truck to be Delivered to Mesa Fire and Medical Department in Arizona
