Rishi Sunak will do this if he loses to Liz Truss in Britain’s PM race

As Britain nears a new prime minister, PM candidate Rishi Sunak has made it clear that he will not serve in his government if he loses the election against Conservative rival Liz Truss.

The former chancellor, who lost the Tory party leadership contest, told the BBC: “One thing I have reflected on being in government in the cabinet over the years – you need to agree to the big things.” Radio 2 on Monday.

Giving further clarification on his plans, Rishi said, “Because it’s hard, as I found out, when you don’t and I don’t want to end up in such a situation again.”

Last month, Rishi Sunak had shocked Boris Johnson’s government by resigning from his post as he was dissatisfied with the Boris Johnson government. This eventually led to the downfall of Boris Johnson as premier. Now, Rishi and Truss are at odds with each other over their plans for the economy. According to some UK dailies, Rishi Sunak has emerged as a favorable candidate for health secretary under Liz Truss.

When asked about the reports, Rishi said, “I’m not focused on all that, and I suspect Liz is. I’m not thinking of a job for myself or anyone else.”

Rishi Sunak called for patriotism, hard work and service for nation building.

Hosting the 10th round in Birmingham, Rishi Sunak said that the focus will be on patriotism, family, hard work and service to improve governance and build a better Britain. “We need to do three things. First, we need to build trust. We need to rebuild our economy and then reunite our country.”

In his speech to address Tory members, Rishi focused on improving the country’s health care system when he came to power. He promised to reform the publicly funded healthcare system in the country to curb unnecessary spending in the name of healthcare infrastructure.

Ever since his candidacy for the Prime Minister of the UK, Rishi Sunak has always claimed to have chosen honest and genuine ways to convey his message to the people. “I have chosen not to say what people want to hear, but I have said things that I think the country needs to hear.” Sunak said.

It is worth noting that media reports and polls are indicating a wide gap between Rishi Sunak and his victory as UK PM. Truss is ahead of Rishi Sunak in the race to replace Boris Johnson as Britain’s PM, according to a poll of members of the governing Conservative Party.

First, Rishi Sunak got 26 percent of the vote and Liz Truss was at 58 percent and the remaining 12 percent was undecided. However, the figures went up to 28 per cent for Rishi, 60 per cent for Liz and 9 per cent for undecided. The final result will come in the first week of September.
