India fast bowler Mohammed Shami praise on monday Rohit Sharma He said that he is a good and very helpful captain.
The Rohit-led side won the ODI series against West Indies 3-0.
Both the teams will now face each other for the T20 series starting in Kolkata from 16 February.
“Rohit is undoubtedly a good captain. He has won many IPL Weather and a great leader. He has been really helpful to me as we both have been playing for a long time,” Shami told ANI.
Selected by Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.5 crore in the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2022, the fast bowler said that he is really excited to join the new franchise.
“I am very happy and looking forward to the team as soon as possible. I will try to give 100 per cent to this franchise and get the best results,” the fast bowler said.
“I always want to leave a mark for the youngsters to follow. So, I will be clear to motivate all the young players of the team to perform better for the team. These youngsters will do well and will be one of our nation. It’s a good sign.”
IPL 2022, Mega Auction took place on 12th and 13th February in Bengaluru.
Ishaan Kishan, Deepak Chahar, and Shreyas Iyer were among the top picks of the mega auction.
