Mohali (Punjab) [India], Aug 13 (ANI): Roundglass Punjab FC is all set to begin their Punjab State Super Football League 2022 campaign with their opening match against Jagat Singh Palahi FA on Tuesday, August 16. It will take place here at the Shaheed Udham Singh Stadium in Tangori, which will host the club’s home matches in the competition, with a kick-off scheduled for 4 pm.
Roundglass Punjab FC will be represented by a 24-member team comprising of many talented, young players from the club’s reserve team. It also included three new signings – forward Ronaldo Oliveira and wingers Krishnanand Singh and Khaiminthang Lungdim.
The tournament will be the curtain-raiser of the season as the club prepares for the upcoming I-League 2022–23 campaign. It will consist of 15 teams that will play against each other once in a round-robin format. The team that tops the points table at the end of round 14 will be crowned champion. The competition is being organized by the Punjab Football Association and will enter its 36th edition.
