Royal Enfield announced the opening of a new assembly plant in Colombia, the third largest motorcycle market in Latin America. The all-new Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit assembly facility in Envigado, Antioquia, is Royal Enfield’s second assembly plant that produces motorcycles outside India. To start, the new plant will be assembled locally. Royal Enfield Himalayan From September 2021. The CKD assembly plant is second only to Royal Enfield’s similar facility in Argentina. In all, Royal Enfield has 57 specialty stores and 40 other retail touchpoints across all Latin American countries. From 2014 to 2021, Royal Enfield has seen significant growth in Colombia, and has sold over 7,000 motorcycles since January 2015. The brand has seen an increase in sales of around 20% from January to July 2021 over the same period.
