Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 spied on test with alloy wheels and new tail lamps – Times of India

Royal Enfield 650 twins, ie CONTINENTAL The GT 650 and Interceptor 650 haven’t been updated for quite a long time, apart from adding new paint schemes from time to time. However, it looks like both the bikes could get an update very soon, or at least get a new variant with some notable changes.
The test mule of the updated version of the Continental GT 650 has been spotted testing black-coloured alloy wheels. Also, this particular bike gets a new circular tail lamp, as seen in the new Hunter 350. So far, Royal Enfield Offers the 650 Twins with wire-spoked wheels.
While only the Continental GT 650 has been seen this time, similar changes are expected to be made on the Interceptor 650 as well. Also, alloy wheels can offer tubeless tires for both the motorcycles. It remains to be seen whether New Continental GT 650 And the Interceptor 650 will be equipped with a new instrument cluster as well as a tripper navigation system as seen in the latest RE bikes.
However, no changes are expected to the powertrain. The Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 are currently offered with a 648 cc, air-cooled parallel twin engine that churns out maximum power of 47 hp and peak torque of 52 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
