The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is the next big offering from the Tamil Nadu based motorcycle manufacturer. And a leaked brochure has given all the key details of the upcoming motorcycle which is expected to go on sale soon. The leaked brochure shows several key changes to the Royal Enfield Scrum 411 over the Himalayan. For example, the Scrum 411 loses the tall visor and Jerry can mount to either side of the fuel tank for a cleaner look. It seems that the instrument console has also been changed, but it includes a tripper pod with navigation feature. The tall visor has been replaced with a shorter flyscreen while the cast metal headlamp cowl has also been replaced. The Scram 411 also gets a single seat instead of the split seats on the Himalayan, while the side panels have been tweaked for a more chiseled look. Other notable bits include an Urban badge plate with branding and an aluminum sump guard.

Like the Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Scrum 411 gets telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The Scrambler-styled bike uses the same 411 cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor makes 24 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the power figures are likely to remain unchanged on the new motorcycle. The Scrum rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, as opposed to the larger 21-inch front tires on the Himalayan. Dual-channel ABS will be standard in this offer.

The entry-level scrambler segment is finally taking shape and the upcoming RE Scram will take on the Yezdi Scrambler which is already on sale. The Benelli Leoncino 250 is expected to be stable at a later date, while Bajaj and Triumph are also developing similar offerings in the same segment.
