RSS-affiliated Muslim organization demands death penalty for killers of Udaipur tailor

The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) on Wednesday called for capital punishment for those who brutally murdered a tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur as “terrorists and devils”.

The RSS-affiliated organization said in a statement that the perpetrators of the “barbaric” incident had “insulted” Islam and brought “humiliation and shame” to “peaceful” Muslims in India and other parts of the world.

“The forum is deeply shocked by such heinous killing and strongly condemns it,” the MRM said.

Two men armed with a cleaver allegedly killed Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur’s Dhan Mandi area on Tuesday and posted videos online saying they were avenging “insults to Islam”, leading to violence in the Rajasthan city. There were sporadic cases, a part of which was kept under it. curfew.

In a video clip, one of the two attackers announced that they “beheaded” the man and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi that his knife would be found by him as well.

“The forum demands that these terrorists and devils should be given the harshest punishment. They should be hanged till death for the barbaric crime committed by them. The government should set up a fast track court to try the accused in the case should.” Statement added.

Police have arrested Riyaz Akhtari, the man who cut the tailor’s neck and Ghaus Mohammad, who allegedly filmed the crime, and detained three others for their involvement in the case.
