Noida: Five persons have been arrested after a video of a ruckus outside a police post in Noida went viral on social media. In the video, the five can be seen playing loud music and dancing over their two cars parked outside the Sorakha police post. The special thing is that there was not a single policeman to stop them.
“The video came to our notice on Tuesday morning. The Surkha police post seen in the video is currently not functioning as repair work is going on. By noon, we caught the five accused,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ranvijay Singh.
The accused have been identified as Ajit Kumar, residents of Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad, Amrit Raj of Mandawali area of Delhi, Gaurav Dutta of Crossing Republic of Ghaziabad and Mayank and Sunil Ojha, residents of Sector 75, Noida.
“During interrogation, they told us that they were celebrating Mayank’s new job in a bank,” Singh said. SHO of Sector 113 police station Sharad Kant said the accused were arrested under section 151 (prevention of cognizable offences) of CrPC and both the cars were confiscated.
However, residents of Noida say that it is a daily affair in the city. Brajesh Sharma, a member of the 7X Welfare team, said, “After it is dark, go to any market and you will find people sitting in their cars and drinking alcohol.”
