Bangalore-based RV University (RVU) has allocated Rs 10 crore for merit scholarship for the upcoming academic year starting August 2023. The University is offering these scholarships to meritorious students to enable them to fulfill their academic aspirations. The scholarship aims to benefit 500 students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
Around 200 B.Tech. students and 50 B.Sc. Students of the School of Computer Science Engineering will benefit from these scholarships, besides 75 students pursuing the five-year integrated BALL.B. are studying. and Bbl.B. as well as LL.M. Programs in the School of Law. These scholarships will cover approximately 40 students from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Design and Innovation. 80 merit scholarships are offered for students pursuing BBA, B.Com. and programs in the School of BA (Economics) Business and School of Economics.
The scholarship includes 100%, 50% and 25% scholarship for the first year of study. Renewal of scholarship is based on maintaining merit. Since admissions are open for the academic year 2023-2024, students can apply for this year’s scholarship.
Dr. (HC) AVS Murthy, Pro Chancellor, RV University and Secretary, RSST said, “Making education accessible to students from every section of the society is an acknowledged goal of our Trust. In just the third year of RVU’s operation, we have increased scholarship funding 20-fold. This is a strong affirmation of our commitment to make education affordable for more and more students. I hope that the deserving students will make full use of these scholarships and contribute to the nation.
Scholarship will be awarded on first come-first serve basis. Renewal of this scholarship is subject to excellent performance in the first year. These scholarships are open to students of all state and central boards and other recognized institutions India With a good academic performance. The amount will cover the cost of tuition fees, either in full or in part. RV University is offering 45+ degree programs in the School of Business, School of Economics, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Design and Innovation, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and School of Law.
