S Jaishankar, UK Minister exchange notes on COP26 developments in Glasgow

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Britain’s Liz Truss met in Glasgow on Tuesday.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in Glasgow on Tuesday and exchanged notes on the COP26 developments.

Mr Jaishankar said that his dialogue with the Truss will keep the momentum going towards 2030 Roadmap.

Roadmap 2030 for the future India-UK relationship was launched during a virtual summit between the two countries in May.

Jaishankar said in a tweet, “Nice to meet with UK Foreign Secretary @trusslies. Our regular talks keep the roadmap 2030 momentum strong. Also exchanged notes on #COP26 developments.”

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the vision of Roadmap 2030 is to “revitalize and dynamic relationships between our peoples, reactivate trade, investment and technological cooperation that improve the lives and livelihoods of our citizens, enhance defense and security cooperation”. “

Jaishankar is with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Glasgow. Leaders have attended COP26 here and held several meetings here. COP26 is taking place in Glasgow with the UK presidency in partnership with Italy.
