SAG Awards 2022: ‘Squid Game’ creates history with Lee Jang Jae and Jang Ho Yeon – Times of India

Popular Korean survival television show ‘squid game‘ Won Outstanding Action Performance as a Stunt Ensemble at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

He has also been nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. Lee Jung-jae and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series Jung Ho-yeon,

‘Squid Game’ has created history as the first Korean TV show and the first foreign language series to be nominated for a SAG Award.

In a statement, show the manufacturer hwang dong-huku Said, “As the director of Squid Game, today must be the happiest moment. I got to meet the actors for the first time, auditions, going to the theaters to see their performances, script readings, rehearsals and days on set.”

“I really want to thank not only the artists who have been nominated today, but also all the supporting and around 300 background talents,” he continued.

“The Squid Game would never have happened without the devotion and hard work of each one of you. You deserve all the glory and credit.”

Artists, including Lee Jung-jae, park hee-sooJang Ho-yeon, O Yeong-su, Heo Sung-tae and others have since made the rounds on the award show circuit.

At the Golden Globes, O Yeong-su made history as the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globe, earning the award for Best Supporting Actor in the Television category.
