According to the All India Survey on High education (AISHE), the overall enrollment of girl students in higher education has been increasing steadily over the years. One of the options suggested by the Government of India is to provide more scholarship programs to supplement the cost of education and the implementation of this scheme is expected to increase the enrollment of more girl students in IIITDM Kancheepuram. The institute is planning to approach other nearby industries for grant of similar scholarship scheme for girl students.
