Bollywood superstar Salman Khan backed Bollycoin today announced the launch of its NFT marketplace. The launch will take place on 30th December with the collection of NFTs from the iconic Dabangg franchise starring Salman Khan produced by Arbaaz Khan Productions.
BollyCoin was created to bring a large section of all existing iconic Bollywood media onto the blockchain and allow community interests in such media through tokenization. They directly partner with the owners (production houses and licensors) of original Bollywood media, add them to the blockchain and convert them into NFTs. These NFTs will later be sold on our platform. For example, the NFT of a scene from an iconic movie that is loved by millions.
Bollycoin announced its arrival in October with plans for a marketplace that would offer a selection of NFTs created from original Bollywood media. However, Bollycoin did not reveal the names of the films with which it will make NFTs. According to the website, NFT’s collection will include movie clips, posters and stills, among other things.
The platform also has its own cryptocurrency, which is now listed on the decentralized exchanges UniSwap and QuickSwap. It is currently partnering with Salman Khan Films, Arbaaz Khan Productions, Sohail Khan Productions, Reel Life Productions and Salman Khan for stable NFTs.

NFTs are a type of digital asset that uses a blockchain to record the ownership of images, videos and other collectibles. His roaring popularity has taken many by surprise but the explosive growth shows no signs of waning.
