suffrage is a half-hour project that takes a sneak peek at superhero film-making. The franchise follows an optimistic crew trapped inside the dysfunctional, meaningless, joyous hellscape of superhero movie-making.
“If and when they finally make the day, they must be faced with the question – is this Hollywood’s new dawn or cinema’s last stand? Is it a dream factory or a chemical plant?” According to the official summary.
The script is written by John Brown and Keith Akushi, with Iannucci collaborating with the two on the pilot story.
Iannucci will serve as an executive producer alongside Mendes, Pippa Harris, Nicholas Brown and Julie Pastor.
