Sam Mendes to pilot HBO comedy ‘The Franchise’

The script is written by John Brown and Keith Akushi, with Iannucci collaborating with the two on the pilot story.

Iannucci will serve as an executive producer alongside Mendes, Pippa Harris, Nicholas Brown and Julie Pastor.
