Greater Noida : Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) On Monday, tenders worth Rs 4.3 crore were issued for setting up 1,000 new sign board. Officials said that these boards would be uniform in size, green in color and in text as per the policy laid down by the state government.
From now on no business or business institution will be able to put up any signboard on its own. For this, GNIDA will have to go through the designated contractor. The cost of its installation will be borne by the institute itself, even the design and size will be decided by the authority. Institutions or business organizations can decide the location of the signboard as per their requirement.
“A policy has been framed by the government for installation of uniform signboards under which one can approach the project department of the authority for installation of signboards. After this, any commercial institution whether it is an educational institution, a company or a society, all have to put up their sign boards from the authority. There is only one motive behind making all the signboards in a similar look and design and that is to make the city more beautiful,” said GNIDA, CEO, Narendra Bhushan.
He said that wherever there would be no sign boards, new boards would be installed by the authority. Once the boards are installed, the contractor shall be responsible for repair or replacement of any problems relating to them for a period of five years.
Work will start by the end of October. The entire process is expected to take six months to complete where initially around 1,000 signage boards will be installed. It is estimated that Rs 4.3 crore will be spent on these. Deep Moon ACEO GNIDA.
