Samsung Galaxy S22: Samsung may have two options for Galaxy S22 processor – Times of India

What’s going to happen this time? samsung Enthusiasts are curious about the next chipset set to power the Galaxy S22 flagship. One rumor suggests it’s going to be a Snapdragon, another says Samsung will stick with it Exynos 2200, And the latest says that the company may be planning to use both, according to a report by PhoneArena, based on information obtained from Korean website TheElec.
According to TheElec, Samsung is going to include Snapdragon 898 And Exynos 2200 in the Galaxy S22 series based on both regions. Users in the US will get the Snapdragon 898-powered Galaxy S22 series, while Europe and South Korea will get similar units, with the only difference being that they will be the company’s own Exynos 2200-powered.
If this is true, then it seems that Samsung wants to play it safe by launching the same phone with different chipsets so that more customers can buy them. Since Samsung is taking away the choice of chipset by making it sector-specific, this could be a win for the company.
The earlier Exynos chipsets have not been well received by the customers with several issues like battery hogging and thermal throttling. To make amends, Samsung has included AMD and the new Exynos 2200 comes with an AMD GPU with RDNA architecture that looks good, at least on paper. On the other hand, the Snapdragon chipset is generally seen as more powerful than the Exynos and the SD 898 will certainly be a huge draw for the users in the US. Samsung is going to cut its losses, most likely for now if something unexpected happens. We will have to wait for the company to officially say which chipset it is going to power the Galaxy S22 device.
