Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty have acted together in many films. These include Kante, Dus and Shootout at Lokhandwala. However, the two haven’t signed a film together since 2010. He was last seen in the comedy No Problem. Now, a new report claims that Sanjay and Sunil are coming together for a comedy film.
A report in Bollywood Hungama claims that Yamla Pagla Deewana director Sameer Karnik has roped the actor for a comedy film. A source close to the project informed the publication that the film will be set in North India, with Sunil and Sanjay playing the characters of Punjab.
“Sameer Karnik’s next film will feature Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Esha Gupta, Zayed Khan, Saurabh Shukla and Javed Jaffrey in lead roles. It is an out-and-out comedy based in North India. Both Sanjay and Sunil will be seen playing the role of a Punjabi, while the details of the characters of Esha Gupta, Zayed Khan, Saurabh Shukla and Javed Jaffrey have been kept a secret for now,” a source told the outlet.
These days Sanjay and Sunil are busy with their respective projects. Sanjay will soon be seen playing the role of Adheera in the much-awaited KGF Chapter 2 alongside Yash and Raveena Tandon. However, Raveena said that her characters do not share a single scene in the film. Speaking to News18, Raveena said, “Sanjay and I thought we would have a blast on the sets like old times, but sadly we don’t share screen space in the film. Our shooting schedules also overlap sometimes. In fact, we requested Prashant if some work can be done but there was no place for it in the script.” KGF Chapter 2 is scheduled to release on 14 April 2022.
He also has Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Toolidas Junior. Meanwhile, Sunil will be seen in Varun Tej’s Gani.
