Sanjay Raut expects MSRTC employees’ strike to end soon

As Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees’ indefinite strike entered its 27th day on Tuesday, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar and expressed hope for a solution soon.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Raut said that he discussed a number of issues with Mr Pawar, including politics and the ongoing MSRTC workers’ strike.

“Only serious issues are discussed with Pawar sahab as we both do not have time to discuss other issues. The issue of MSRTC strike is very serious and I am sure it will be resolved soon.

The strike of MSRTC employees continued for the 27th day on Tuesday.

On Monday, Mr Pawar held discussions with Transport Minister Anil Parab and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar, Mr Raut said.

“There was a meeting between Mr. Pawar, Finance Minister Ajit Pawar and Transport Minister (Mr. Parab) and I think he has given some positive instructions.”

He hit out at the opposition BJP for pouring ‘oil on fire’ on the issue of MSRTC workers.
