Sarthak Chavan becomes first Indian rider to qualify for Thailand Talent Cup 2022 – Times of India

Young Chennai based rider Sarthak Chavan set a new record for Honda Racing India But after achieving a podium finish Thailand Talent Cup (TTC) 2022, Round 2. For the first time in the history of Honda Racing India, an Indian rider has achieved a remarkable victory on international soil. TTC Round 2 was held in the first week of May 2022 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

15-year-old Chavan started from 12th position on the grid and made his way into the top 5. Despite the wet riding conditions, he gave a tough fight to the other racers. Chavan finished the race in third place, just 0.583 seconds behind the race leader.

Another young racer Kevin Quintal displayed confidence and efficient riding in the TTC Race under the banner of Honda Racing India. 16-year-old Quintal started from 15th position in the grid of 16 riders. The Chennai boy made his way in the very first lap, beating 5 other riders. His consistent effort helped him to keep up against other Asian riders and finish 9th with a total time of 29:50:642.
