Chennai: A police team on Thursday attacked VK. inquired from sasikalalate confidant Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa stayed for five hours at her residence in T Nagar in the Kodnad dacoity-cum-murder case.
The case pertains to the murder and subsequent theft of a watchman at the 906-acre Kodanad estate owned by Jayalalithaa and Sasikala on April 23, 2017. At the time of the offence, Sasikala was serving a sentence in a Bangalore jail in a disproportionate assets case. ,
After the police team left in the evening, Sasikala told the media, “I have answered all the questions asked to me since morning. The inquiry in the matter is not over yet and it will continue on Friday. I will elaborate. Above”. The police team remained silent about the developments.
The police team led by West Zone IG R Sudhakar reached Sasikala’s residence on Habibullah Road around 11 am. The police were stationed outside and the house was covered with covers to avoid prying eyes. To catch a glimpse of the incident, 50 supporters of Sasikala gathered in front of her house. None of them were allowed inside. The team took a break at 1.30 pm and returned again at 2.30 pm. The entire session was videographed. The team completed the inquiry at 5.15 pm.
