New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should apologize to the nation and sack his jailed minister Satyendar Jain over fresh allegations related to a massage video.
At a press conference around noon, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia challenged Kejriwal to respond “within an hour” to the latest allegations.
He labeled the AAP an “anarchist criminal party (anarchist criminal party)”, accusing the AAP of defending wrongdoings in prison.
Bhatia said, “Arvind Kejriwal should apologize to the entire country.” “Satyendra Jain should not hold the post of Delhi minister even for a minute now.”
The BJP leader demanded that Kejriwal should resign as “his shoulders are too weak” to take responsibility for sacking Jain following the alleged episode.
In the purported video, Jain can be seen massaging his back and feet in his cell, reading some documents and talking to visitors while lying on the bed. Mineral water bottles and a remote are also seen. In a video, he is seen massaging his head while sitting on a chair.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had claimed that Jain was undergoing physiotherapy after suffering a spinal injury and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of playing “cheap” politics on health issues by illegally leaking CCTV footage.
