If your mobile number is registered with your savings bank account, you can keep track of all the transactions. Not only this, you will also get to know immediately if there are unauthorized transactions in your bank account. Your mobile must be registered with State Bank of India (State Bank Of India) Savings Bank Account for availing Internet Banking facility. If your mobile number is not registered, here are three ways you can do so.
How to Update Mobile Number through SBI Internet Banking
• Log in to www.onlinesbi.com
• Navigate to “Profile-Personal Details-Change Mobile Number”. Under “My Accounts” appearing on the left pane of the screen.
• On the next page, select the account number, input the mobile number and click on submit.
• The last 2 digits of the registered mobile number (non-editable) will be displayed to you.
• You will be informed about the mapping status on your registered mobile number.
How to Update Mobile Number through SBI Branch
• Visit your nearest SBI branch.
• Fill out the request form
• Submit the above letter.
• Linking will be done by the branch after necessary verification.
• You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number about the updation status
How to Update Mobile Number through SBI ATM
• Visit your nearest ATM
• Select the registration option from the available options
• Enter your ATM PIN
• Select the Mobile Number Registration option from the options that appear on the screen
• Select Change mobile number option from the options that appear on the screen
• You will be asked to enter and confirm your old mobile number
• After posting you will be asked to enter and confirm the new mobile number
• Separate OTPs will be sent to both new and old mobile numbers with the following message:
• Please activate OTP and reference number received in SMS from new as well as existing mobile number in the following format to IOTP VALUE + REF number 567676 within 4 hours
• Your mobile number will be updated
How to check update request
Once the mobile number change is approved, the customer can view the status of the request
Login to Online SBI.
Go to the ‘Profile’ tab.
Click on the ‘Personal Details’ link.
The Display Name, Email ID and Mobile Number registered in Internet Banking will be displayed.
Click on the hyperlink ‘Change Mobile Number-Domestic Only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre)’.
A new screen, ‘Personal Details-Mobile Number Update’ will appear with three tabs ‘Create Request’, ‘Cancel Request’ and ‘Status’.
Click on the ‘Status’ tab to view the current status (Pending/Successful) of your request to change your mobile number through Internet Banking.
