In view of the torrential rains in the state, the Telangana government has declared a holiday for all educational institutions from July 11 to 13.
The decision was taken after Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao chaired a high-level meeting with officials to review the situation arising out of heavy rains in the last few days, which is likely to continue for a few days.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to be aware of the possible damage caused by heavy rains and take necessary measures to prevent loss of life and property in the rain-affected areas.
Meanwhile, Osmania University postponed the examinations scheduled for July 11 to 13 and said that the new dates would be posted on the website www.osmania.ac.in in due course. However, all examinations to be held on and after July 14 will be held as per the schedule.
