School dropout rate declining at all levels: Government

The government told the Lok Sabha on Friday that there is a steady decline in the dropout rate in the country at all levels of education including primary, upper primary and secondary. Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani said this in response to a written question whether there has been an increase in the number of school dropouts in view of the outbreak of COVID-19.
