Search for ‘heaven to hell’ witness: Rajasthan court tells police Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: A desperate judge in Bundi district has directed the police to trace a witness and produce him in the court in the next 11 days to complete the trial in the case pending for more than five years due to his non-cooperation.
The order passed by Vikas Nehra, Civil and Judicial Magistrate, Keshoraipatan, is going viral on social media.
On 20 June, he directed the Kapren police station officer to produce the witness, ASI Bhagwan Singh in search of ‘Swarg se Paatal Lok Tak’ (heaven to hell) and ensure his presence as a witness in the case. Next date 5th July
Actually this order is related to six pending cases in the civil court of Keshoraipatan.
ASI Bhagwan Singh, who investigated these cases, was to appear as the last witness in the court for the prosecution. But even after repeated calls, he did not appear.
Because of this the court could not dispose of these cases. All these cases are more than five years old.
The Rajasthan High Court had recently directed the lower courts to dispose of the cases of five to ten years at the earliest to reduce the pendency. But in these cases the court is unable to reach any conclusion without hearing the main prosecution witness.
