According to clinical nutritionist Nupur Krishnan, berries, cherries and strawberries can increase immunity levels during the winter season. Nutritionists suggest that since we do not consume a lot of water in winters, we should also include a lot of citrus fruits in our diet as they are rich in antioxidants and potassium which provide us with lots of energy.

brussel sprout

Cauliflower

Kale is a part of the cruciferous vegetable family and is high in flavonoids. According to some research, flavonoids can reduce the risk of problems like lung and esophageal cancer.

Parsnips

Parsnips are similar to radishes. They are a rich source of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber reduces the risk of heart disease, breast cancer and stroke.
