One such video has gone viral on the internet after shocking and splitting social media users. Posted on social media platform Reddit by a user named EtgBobitto, the video shows a cute fight between a dog and a wild cat breed.

The video was shared on Friday with the caption, “Interesting pet combination, I would say.”

While taking a nap on a couch, a dog can be seen praising a caracal, but then it turns violent and starts slapping and scratching the dog’s face repeatedly. The dog once again tries to approach the cat, but it keeps on screaming. In the last few seconds of the video, the dog can be seen sitting next to the cat.

The video garnered over 4,500 upvotes and several comments within hours of being posted.

One user added additional information about these cats, writing, “I guess caracals don’t meow like any other cat, they can only hiss.”

“Yeah they don’t have the evolved trait that pet cats communicate via meow, literally all they know is murmuring sounds of violence”, wrote another user.

A third user commented, “No it is not nor has it been domesticated. Having a home is dangerous and it is difficult to find adequate veterinary care.”

According to National Geographic, wild cats called caracals are medium-sized and can be found in the forests, deserts and savannas of most of Africa and the Middle East. Typically, its coat is fresh or reddish gold with white spots on the chin, neck, and lower abdomen.

Although all cats are noble, the caracal appears to be wearing a crown. This species is distinguished by its huge, erect ears with black tips and tufts.
