Goals from Ivan Perisic and Lautaro Martínez gave Inter Milan a 2-1 win in Udinese on Sunday as Simone Inzaghi’s side closed a two-point gap over Serie A leaders AC Milan.

Inter started well and Croatian forward Perisic gave the title chasers the lead in the 12th minute with a header from the net.
After fouling Edin Jaco in the 39th minute, Martinez was given full opportunity to score two goals from the spot, with the Argentine striker finding the net but only from a rebound after scoring a penalty at the post.
Udinese did not give up after the break, and under pressure from Ignacio Puseto converted from close range to give his side hope with 18 minutes of play.
Inter saved more worrisome moments in the later stages in Udine but held on to lead on 75 points from 35 matches played after Milan after their win over Fiorentina on Sunday. Udinese are in 12th place with 43 points.
