Shaan Mukherjee is one of the most loved playback singers of India. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the Indian music business. He has been spreading the magic of his voice since many years and has gained international fame. The singer is now making headlines for wishing his fans on Eid.

On Saturday, the musician took to Instagram to share a picture of himself wearing a skull cap. He captioned his picture, “Eid Mubarak to you and your family.” However, his comments section was flooded with angry and cruel comments, criticizing him for wishing Eid Mubarak despite being a Hindu. He reprimanded her for wearing Muslim dress despite not belonging to the religion.

Following criticisms on the post, the singer turned off the comments section.

Soon, Shaan shared a video and replied with dignity, mentioning how he had grown up respecting all religions equally. He also claimed that the shot was from his ‘Karam Karde’ music video, which was released three years ago. He wrote, “There was this look in him.. so thought it goes with the occasion.. bas itni si baat.”

The singer mentioned that he celebrates all festivals saying that everyone should believe in him. Shaan said, “Right from my childhood, I was taught to celebrate all festivals and respect every religion. This is what I believe in and every Indian should also believe in it. Baki aapki soch aapko mubarak.”

Let us tell you that Shaan started his career by singing commercial jingles. Apart from singing, he has appeared in the film Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence, which also stars Raveena Tandon. He has also served as a judge on several talent shows.
