Shah Rukh Khan fans were excited when the actor announced his film Dunki in April 2022. The film, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, went on floors this year. Actually, the first schedule of Dunki has already been completed. Now it has come to light that DOP (Director of Photography) of Dunky Amit Roy has left the project. In a new interview, the film’s director cited ‘creative differences’ with Rajkumar Hirani.

In an interview with Etimes, Amit Roy said, “I am not doing Dunki anymore. I shot for 18-19 days and quit. Raju Hirani and I had some creative differences. We both are not from the same angle. Could see. But let me tell you the parting was very amicable. We both sat down and then I left. Honestly, I didn’t want it to get to the level of friction.” He further added, “Aisa Kabhie Hota Hai. I had shot a song for the song Hirani- Baba Bolta Hai Bas Ho Gaya in Sanju. Then we had a great time. I have also done a few commercials for that. But You see, advertising is a collaborative effort in which the customer’s vision also matters. But when it comes to a film, it is the director’s vision. The shots I take will be retained.”
Amit Roy started his career as a cinematographer with Ishq Vishk (2003). Later he acted in films like Dil Maange More!!! (2004), Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007), Sarkar Raaz (2008), Deewana Main Deewana (2013) and many more.
