Shah to hold review meeting on Friday with top officials on Amarnath Yatra, J&K security: Sources

Sources claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir with all top security officials on June 3.

According to sources, preparations for the Amarnath Yatra and Jammu and Kashmir Security Review will be taken up in the meeting, which will be attended by the National Security Advisor, Army Chief, Lieutenant Governor, Director General of Forces etc.

Sources also claimed that in the last meeting, Shah had expressed concern over the killings of civilians and asked all security forces to keep a watch on it.

The minister is likely to review the movement of troops in Jammu and Kashmir and it is likely that more troops will be deployed in the region.

Sources said that the top officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police are likely to give information about the steps taken by the police against the killings of civilians and threats to the civilians.
