In a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter, Shahid answered several questions recently asked by his fans. When someone asked about his thoughts on Samantha’s performance in ‘The Family Man 2’, Shahid replied, “Totally loved her on the show. Would love to work with her sometime.”

Samantha made her Hindi digital debut with ‘The Family Man 2’ where she played the role of Sri Lankan Tamil Liberation Fighter Raji. The actress had earlier received a lot of criticism from political leaders. Rajya Sabha member and MDMK leader Vaiko, in a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on May 19, said, “These details have hurt the sentiments of Tamil people and Tamil culture and are offensive against Tamil community. The people of Tamil Nadu are raising serious objections to such acts and opposing the serial.”
Tamil Nadu minister T Mano Thangaraj in a letter to Prakash Javadekar also wrote, “Branding Tamil speaking actress Samantha as a terrorist in the serial is a direct attack on the pride of Tamils living across the world and such an act No one will tolerate that. Driven and mischievous campaign.”
The actress had also apologized saying that she did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments. After the show’s release, however, Samantha received a lot of praise for her stellar performance.
‘The Family Man 2’ also starred Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani in the lead roles.
