Shamita Shetty Is Experiencing Yummylicious “Gujju Food Coma” In Vadodara

Just like her sister Shilpa Shetty, Shamita Shetty is a true blue foodie. Thanks to her social media she keeps her fans updated with her foodie escapades, especially involving regional food. She is currently in Vadodara, so how could she not experience the “Gujju food coma”? In a bid to awaken her taste buds, Shamita visited a snack shop in Gujarat city. Treating us to the glimpses of her gastronomical adventures, Shamita shared a video on her Instagram timeline. The clip begins by showing her drooling over kachoris. Next, the video shows Shamita sitting at a table with a complete Gujarati feast in front of her. In the video, she can be heard saying, “Main seedha airport se aayi hoon, nashton ke liye. Main Vadodara mein hoon. Actually mujhe Gujarati khana bahut pasand hai. [I have come straight from the airport just for these snacks. I am in Vadodara. I love Gujarati food]. I mean look at the spread.” What was she relishing? Undhiyu, khaman dhokla, sev khamani, muthiya (it is Shamita’s favourite), paathra, handvo, lilwani kachori, khandvi, and khasta kachori. Phew!

Sharing the clip, Shamita Shetty wrote, “Vadodara, where my waistline goes on vacation! Gujju food coma is in full swing, send help… or more dhoklas!! PS: for all those wondering how I eat gluten and lactose… yes I avoid it cause of colitis but I allow myself a little, in moderation (this is key). Of course once a week …so the body doesn’t become completely intolerant to it!!”
