Shilpa Shetty fans were excited when the news of the Nikamma actress Rohit Shetty joining the Indian Police force was announced. With the upcoming series, the Dhadkan star is all set to make his debut in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. In his recent interview, Shilpa Shetty Revealed that it was his son Viaan Raj Kundra who persuaded him to do the film. The actress also added that Viaan is the only reason she is doing the film.
Shilpa, who appeared in the film with Sidharth Malhotra, recently recalled that Viaan, who is a huge Rohit Shetty fan, started jumping up and down. He did so when it was learned that his mother had been offered to act in a Rohit Shetty film. Viaan also tells her that he has to do the film for her.
“I told my son that Rohit Shetty has offered me a role and he jumped up and said, ‘Mamma you have to do this for me’. I was overjoyed when I saw the excitement on his face. That Rohit I am a huge fan of K. K. I always tell Rohit that I have done this something for him (my son),” Shilpa told PTI.
The actress also recalled that when she was told that Rohit wanted her in the film, she initially thought someone was joking with her. She said, “This is the first time someone has come through that Rohit is trying to approach me and wants me to play a part in his project. I thought they were joking. When he talked to me, I said let me think about it and it was yes.
The Indian police force was announced in April.
