Six new job oriented courses started in DU SOL, check details here

Good news for DU SOL students! According to news agency PTI, Delhi University on Monday launched six new job-oriented programs including Master of Business Administration at the School of Open Learning (SOL).

These six new courses are Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Arts-Economics (Hons), Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences, and Masters of Library and Information Sciences.

Delhi University Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh while addressing a press conference here said that SOL has completed 60 years, however, no new course has been announced in a very long time.

“We are introducing six new courses at SOL. The first course in the Master of Business Administration. The second is the Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), the Bachelor of Management Studies, the Bachelor of Arts-Economics (Hons), the Bachelor of Library and Information Masters of Science, Library and Information Science,” said Singh.

Meanwhile, Payal Mago, Director, Open Learning Campus, also said that these courses have been announced after due approval by the Distance Education Bureau and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and MBA as well.

Giving further details about these newly introduced courses, Mago said that these courses have been started to provide employment oriented programs to the students.

“These are very important courses- BBA, MBA, which is a very prestigious course of DU, Bachelor of Management Studies. There are management courses and job oriented courses. Many students are unable to get admission in economic courses in regular mode. This It is also a flagship course of Delhi University.”
