Skoda Kushak Style NSR Edition launched at Rs 15.09 lakh: What’s new – Times of India

Skoda Kushak Style NSR Variants: Features
As the name suggests, ‘NSR’ stands for ‘Non Sunroof’ and does not feature auto-dimming interior rear-view mirrors and rain-sensing wipers. The Kushak style NSR variant sits on a 15-inch spare wheel despite having 16-inch wheels. Mechanically, the new variant is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI motor and comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Style NSR variant is priced at Rs 15.09 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) and costs around Rs 20,000 less than the Style variant. Now the base variant of the midsize SUV gets Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
The updated Kushak will hit the showrooms by the end of June 2022. Skoda has made several changes to the Kushaq this year. The brand recently introduced the Monte Carlo variant in the Kushak that comes equipped with a blacked-out front grille, LED headlamps and more.
Skoda Kushak Style NSR Variants: Powertrain
Mechanically, the Style NSR variant remains unchanged. It uses a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 hp of power and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 hp of power. Depending on the engine, a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission are on offer.
In the Indian market, Skoda Kushaq competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, upcoming Toyota Hyryder and Volkswagen Taigun.
