About solar eclipse:

A solar eclipse occurs when the new moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, hiding the Sun’s rays from sight for some time.

In a total solar eclipse, the Moon covers the Sun at its full size, leaving the darkest part of its shadow. On the other hand, in a partial solar eclipse, the Moon does not completely cover the Sun and the central portion of the Sun shows a ring of fire hidden from view.

This total solar eclipse comes two weeks after the partial lunar eclipse of November 19.
