EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday EU foreign ministers expressed solidarity with France, which was angered by Australia’s cancellation of the submarine contract.
“The ministers expressed clear solidarity with France. This announcement was contrary to calls for greater cooperation with the EU in the Indo-Pacific,” Borrell told reporters after the EU ministers’ meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations.
