South Africa beat India by 5 wickets to win Women’s T20 tri-series title

South Africa lifted the title by defeating India by five wickets in the final of the women’s T20 tri-series here on Thursday.

South Africa reached the target of 110 runs with 12 balls to spare. Chloe Tryon scored an unbeaten 57 off 32 balls. He took South Africa to 113 for 5 in 18 overs with the help of six fours and two sixes.

For India, Sneh Rana was the most successful bowler with figures of 2 for 21, while Deepti Sharma, Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Renuka Singh got one wicket each.

Earlier, opting to bat, India posted 109 for four with Harleen Deol scoring 46 off 56 balls.
