The Indian Railways’ South East Central Railway zone’s (SECR) Bilaspur division has announced the availability of over 700 apprentice positions. The deadline for applications is April 12, 2024. These one-year apprenticeships are being offered by the Apprenticeship Act of 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules of 1962.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship with the South East-Central Railway, candidates must have completed 10th or 12th grade and hold an ITI certification in the relevant trade.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old and no more than 24 years old. However, there are age relaxations available: SC/ST candidates can receive up to 5 years of relaxation, OBC candidates up to 3 years, and ex-servicemen and individuals with disabilities up to 10 years of relaxation.

Selection for the apprenticeship will depend equally on the scores achieved in both 10th grade and ITI. Applicants must have attained a minimum of 50% marks in their 10th-grade exams.
