SpiceJet to launch 60 new domestic flights this summer; 8 Industry-First

SpiceJet is planning to launch 60 new domestic flights this summer, the schedule for which begins on March 27 and ends on October 29. SpiceJet said in a statement today, it will launch 8 industry-first flights on Gorakhpur-Kanpur, Gorakhpur. Varanasi, Jaipur-Dharamsala and Tirupati-Shirdi routes.

“The airline has added 60 new domestic flights to its schedule, including seven UDAN flights, eight industry-first flights, new connections and additional frequencies,” it said.

Carriers of domestic services:-

The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) said last week that Indian carriers have increased their domestic services by 10.1 per cent to 25,309 weekly flights in the upcoming summer program as against 22,980 in the previous season.

The regulator said IndiGo increased its domestic flights by 10.4 per cent to 11,130 weekly services for the summer of 2022, as against 10,084 weekly services in the same period last year.

SpiceJet’s profit-booking in the third quarter:-

SpiceJet Ltd returns to profit for the third quarter ended December 23 crore against the loss of 57 crore in the same quarter last year.

SpiceJet’s Benefit SpiceJet Chairman and MD Ajay Singh said, “The excellent logistics operations were driven by rebound in passenger traffic and various accommodations of the aircraft manufacturer and lessees.”
