New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has extended the last date for receipt of applications for the National Sports Awards from September 27 to October 1, 2022.
“Applications are invited from eligible sportspersons/coaches/institutions/universities for the award. They have to apply themselves online on a dedicated portal. Indian Olympic Association / Sports Authority of India / Recognized National Sports Federation / Sports Promotion Board / State and Union Territory Governments are also informed accordingly. Nominations received after October 1, 2022 will not be considered,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
In August, the ministry has invited applications for the National Sports Awards. Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, Dhyan Chand Award, Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar (RKPP) and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MACA) Trophy for the year 2022.
The notification has been uploaded on the website of the Ministry.
