SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ gets a new release date of March 18

The film has been postponed several times since 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic

SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited period action film “Rise Roar Revolt” (RRR) will now hit the theaters on March 18, the makers announced on Friday.

In a statement posted on the official Twitter handle of the film, the makers said that they have also booked the date of April 28 in case the film gets postponed once again.

The team said, “If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theaters are opened to work at full capacity, then we are ready to release on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, ‘RRR’ movie will be released on 28th April. Will release on 2022.”

The Telugu language film starring South stars – Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao Jr. is produced by DVV Entertainment.

Earlier in early 2022, the makers had announced the decision to postpone the release of the magnum opus by six days before “RRR” hit theaters following a surge in coronavirus cases across the country.

The team had also started grand promotional activities which were being carried out across India.

“RRR” has been postponed several times since 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Also featuring Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles, “RRR” is a fictional story based on the lives of two freedom fighters – Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Kumram Bheem (NTR Jr) in the early 20th century.
