‘Star Wars’ actor Daisy Ridley to lead series adaptation of ‘The Christie Affair’

British actor Daisy Ridley to helm upcoming series adaptation of bestselling novel the christie affair,

The murder mystery show will be a re-imagining of iconic author Agatha Christie’s 11-day disappearance in 1926, featuring many elements of the mystery genre for which the late author was known. Diversity,

the essex serpent Munshi Juliet Tawhidi is adapting the novel for the series, which is backed by Miramax TV.

Ridley, best known for her role as Rey in three star wars The films will star Nan O’Dea, the mistress of Christie’s husband, on whom the series will focus. Throughout the show, Nan finds that her life has become intertwined with Christy’s in a way neither could have expected.

the christie affair, written by Nina de Gramont, was published this February by St. Martin’s Press and became a No. 1 bestseller in the UK. It was included on the New York Times bestseller list as well as Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Book Club.
