The District Collectors of Telangana were allowed to provide an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to the families of those who died of COVID-19. Orders to this effect were issued by the Telangana government on Wednesday.
The application for ex-gratia amount has to be done online. All claims in respect of eligible cases must be settled within 30 days of submission of required documents, and disbursed through Aadhaar-linked Direct Benefit Transfer processes.
The state government on Monday notified the District Level COVID Mortality Assessment Committee (CDAC) to issue an ‘official document for COVID-19 deaths’.
CDAC will have District Collector as the Chairman, District Medical Health Officer as Member-Convenor and Superintendent of Headquarter Hospital as Member. Applications for COVID-19 death document have to be submitted through Mee Seva Kendras.
