The Finance Ministry said that the Center will release the advance installment of tax devolution of Rs 47,541 crore to the states on Thursday.
“Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here today authorized state governments to release advance installment of tax devolution of Rs 47,541 crore. This is in addition to the regular transfer for the month of January, which is being issued even today,” the ministry said in a statement.
Thus, the states would get a total of ₹95,082 crore or double their respective entitlements during the month of January, the finance ministry said in the statement.
