District Transport Officer Dinesh Ranjan told TOI on Wednesday that a team would be formed to locate the crossings where traffic lights need to be installed to prevent accidents and ensure smooth vehicular movement. He said that there are some traffic signals in the city, some of which are not working. The city has 67 lakh registered vehicles, which include privately owned and public transport.
