Asian markets weak, US futures fall
Stocks and US equity futures fell on Tuesday as the dollar and sovereign bonds rose, a pattern highlighting widespread unease about the economic outlook amid high inflation and China’s struggle with Covid.
An Asian stock index was pulled short by weakness in the technology sector as well as in Japan and Hong Kong, while China was mixed. The S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and European contracts were down about 0.5% on Monday, following Wall Street losses.
